No Limits Women's Retreat 2019

NO LIMITS WOMEN’S RETREAT was born from the hearts of two ladies, Jeannie Lynch and Jana Lovelace. Jeannie, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and Jana, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, have a heart for women and leading others to the freedom they have found in Jesus. They too know that life is hard, and the days can be long. A woman’s heart, time, and attention can be pulled in so many directions. They know what it feels like to, at times, merely be surviving or simply managing from one task to the next. You are not alone to have thought, “Is this it? There has to be more to life than this!” and you are RIGHT! There is more, sister! Jeannie and Jana have assembled a lineup of women speakers who have earned the right to speak personally about sexual abuse, childhood and adult trauma, physical and emotional abuse, drug addiction, alcoholism, perfectionism, divorce, loss of children, grief, near death medical diagnoses, depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, affairs, abortion, and others.

Through their professions as clinical therapists, they have seen the depths of brokenness life can bring. But just as they have seen brokenness, they have seen triumph. Just as they have witnessed the heaviness of chains, they have witnessed the freedom that comes when those chains are broken. Just as they have witnessed loss and grief, they have witnessed healing and restoration. They have taken a front row seat in the lives of others seeing how Jesus has healed, restored, and made new what the enemy meant for destruction - but they have also lived this journey in their own lives as Jesus has delivered them from their own past and brokenness.

All too often, Christians have the idea that if their faith were stronger, they would not struggle. For example, the world often says, “if you have anxiety, your faith is not strong enough.” Or, “Christians should not be depressed.” But what does the Bible say about mental illness?

Jeannie and Jana have seen society attempt to disconnect the two, stating that spirituality and mental health are separate. We value the local church and it is our desire to come alongside and fight the battle of mental illness together, both with a spiritual lens as well as one that looks at the psychology of today’s woman. No Limits Women’s Retreat is a platform to have the conversation about the relationship between mental health and spirituality. But in order to do that we have to bring to light the struggles of not only getting by day to day, but also the more serious difficulty of mental health and how it is related to spirituality.

They have seen, both first and second-hand, how Jesus can take the tragic circumstances of life, the parts you think you may never heal from, and make those parts whole, transformed, and beautiful again. Their deepest desire for this retreat is to provide a venue where Jesus can begin a work in women’s hearts, bodies, and souls that will heal those broken parts. Jeannie and Jana believe that no woman is broken, but that the struggles of life have caused us to believe we are broken and that healing is “not possible” or “for other people.” But sister, as you are reading this, know that healing is for you. Restoration is for you. Transformation is for you. And Jesus is for you!

We limit ourselves. As women. As busy moms or wives. As professionals. As persons with depression or anxiety. But with God, there are NO LIMITS. This retreat is about FREEDOM. Freedom to live without the chains of mental health difficulties like depression or anxiety. Freedom to live in your true Jesus-given identity. Freedom to live without the chains that have bound you, your mother, your sisters, and your daughters. Freedom to live in the way that Jesus meant for you to live. Jesus did not die for you to live this way. He died for you to LIVE … LIVE with NO LIMITS.

When we limit ourselves we limit God. Our mission is to empower women, through the love of Jesus, to live their lives with no limits. Our desire is to communicate to women a way in which to live outside of the confining limits of depression, anxiety, and other life struggles and into a place of freedom. We exist to guide women to a place of finding their true Jesus-given identity in order to live a full and abundant life knowing that He desires more for us than we could ever imagine … A life of No Limits.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.
